MARIE CURIE ACTIONS Research Training Network XTRA

The ICFO’s Attoscience and Ultrafast Optics (AUO) Group, led by Prof. Jens Biegert, is associated with the MARIE CURIE ACTIONS Research Training Network “XTRA – Ultrashort XUV Pulses for Time-Resolved and Non-Linear Applications”.
The main objective of XTRA is the development and exploitation of state-of-the-art techniques for the generation of attosecond and femtosecond extreme ultra-violet (XUV) laser pulses in important and challenging experiments in atomic, molecular and solid-state physics.
XTRA is the major network in attoscience and represents a continuation of the work that was successfully initiated during ATTO. The teams that participated in ATTO joined forces with a few new teams with complementary expertise, and focus their efforts on light sources and atomic, molecular and solid-state physics
