Dr. Alexander Grün graduated with a thesis in “Nonlinear Pulse Compression’
by Jens Biegert
Dr. Alexander Grün received his Master of Science (MSc) in Microelectronics from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. After completing this degree, he joined the Attoscience and ultrafast optics research group at ICFO, led by Prof. Jens Biegert and centered his doctoral work on the generation of ultra-short (femtosecond) pulses to study nonlinear light-matter interactions, e.g. atomic and molecular dynamics. Dr. Grün’s thesis, entitled ‘Nonlinear Pulse Compression’ was supervised by Prof. Jens Biegert.
