%20excitation%20of%20both%20SCOPs%20is%20nondisplacive%20and%20is%20explained%20by%20the%20strong%20electron-phonon%20scattering%2C%20i.e.%2C%20via%20a%20seemingly%20incoherent%20process.%20We%20identify%20the%20A%5Cu20321%20phonon%20as%20the%20dominating%20channel%20for%20dissipation%20of%20electronic%20coherence.%20Moreover%2C%20unobserved%20in%20graphite%2C%20we%20find%20high-frequency%20oscillations%20up%20to%2090%20THz%2C%20which%20arise%20from%20the%20modulation%20of%20the%20electronic%20density%20of%20states%20by%20the%20atomic%20displacements%20along%20the%20E2g%20and%20A%5Cu20321%20modes.%20These%20measurements%20establish%20the%20utility%20of%20core-level%20XANES%20with%20attosecond%20temporal%20resolution%20to%20achieve%20an%20unambiguous%20and%20simultaneous%20view%20on%20the%20temporal%20evolution%20of%20the%20photon-carrier-phonon%20system%20with%20surprising%20new%20results%20even%20for%20a%20seemingly%20well-studied%20system%20like%20graphite.%20While%20the%20graphite%20measurement%20was%20conducted%20around%20the%20K%20edge%20of%20carbon%2C%20adapting%20the%20methodology%20to%20other%20materials%20only%20requires%20spectra%20coverage%20of%20the%20respective%20elemental%20edge%20of%20the%20material%5Cu2019s%20constituent.%20This%20flexibility%20makes%20our%20methodology%20widely%20applicable%20to%20detect%20and%20distinguish%20the%20various%20dynamic%20contributions%20to%20the%20flow%20of%20energy%20inside%20materials%20on%20their%20native%20timescales.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222021-12-27%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.1103%5C%2FPhysRevX.11.041060%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%22%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Flink.aps.org%5C%2Fdoi%5C%2F10.1103%5C%2FPhysRevX.11.041060%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%22ZIWZZ63D%22%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222023-04-11T12%3A26%3A53Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
